Job Description

Mitchell Installations Ltd. is hiring a Project Coordinator to join our company.The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for assisting in delivering construction projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing and controlling project deliverables, planning, execution, documents and files under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) & Project Director.Duties:

  • Create, maintain, and deliver all project documents and files
  • Create, and maintain, and update project binders
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Create and update material lists for the project and provide to the purchasing department for procurement
  • Assist purchasing agent to answer technical questions from vendors and analyze pricing submissions
  • Assist the PM in the review of Sub-Contractor & Supplier quotations to ensure that only fair and accurate pricing is recommended for approval
  • Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders
  • Ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, in the interest of continuous improvement for yourself and our team
  • Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations and/or schedule
  • Assemble turn over packaged for client review
Requirements:
  • One or more of: Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Degree Program or Construction Coordination Experience is required
  • Experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of construction projects is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and competent in writing and grammar
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Office location is in Burnaby, BC. Jobsite location is Richmond BC. Only applicants currently living in the Metro Vancouver area will be considered.Job Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timeAdditional pay:
