THE ROLE: Seasonal Distribution Centre AssociateLOCATION: Richmond, BCSmash + Tess is looking for Seasonal Distribution Centre Associates to join our team from mid October - mid January. Shifts are Monday - Sunday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.THE BRAND:We are Vancouver-designed, North American made, and globally inspired. Our belief in slowing down the fashion cycle led us to make clothing on demand and with a clear purpose – to delight our #smashtessfam. Our best-selling Romper fabric is a sustainable rayon from bamboo and cotton blend, and although it costs more for us to use it, it’s proven to stand the test of time and retain its shape and softness when treated well. We produce in our own backyard under our watchful eyes to ensure that our clothing is made in the very best working conditions by skilled and talented seamsters.Smash + Tess was founded by a mother-daughter-bestie trio, dedicated to creating “everywear” to take you from the sheets to the streets… and beyond! Disrupting the fashion industry with chic and cozy clothing, Smash + Tess has a cult-like following from celebrities, influencers, and everyday women, because aside from our seriously cute designs, we’ve created a community that celebrates comfortability and style! WHAT A DC ASSOCIATE DOES:Smash + Tess prides itself on providing the absolute best experience - from customer service, planning, production, to order fulfillment. As a key member of the team, our DC Associates are responsible for not only providing the correct product to our customers, but also the best experience when our customers receive their product. Packaging by hand means that products are treated with the ultimate care up to the point of the customer receiving their item.
  • The DC Associate will perform an array of functions including but not limited to:
    • Receiving and stowing incoming product
    • Picking and packing customer orders
    • Organizing product stock
    • Processing returns, exchanges and damages in a timely manner
    • Inventory counts
  • In addition to our core roles, our team members take pride in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse by constantly upkeeping and improving it to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well alone as well as with a team
  • Able to meet project timelines
  • With a small but mighty team, working at a fast pace and with the highest efficiency is critical to the success for this role
  • Excellent counting skills and a detail-focused mindset
  • Ability to work on your feet all day, bending, leaning, crouching and walking
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • A love of Rompers is a plus!
