Job Description

On behalf of our client in Richmond, BC, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Senior IT Portfolio Analyst (Financial Reporting) for a 12-months contract position. Role:This opportunity is for a Technology Portfolio Analyst with high competency in operational and project finances, data analysis, and reporting with experience in hybrid and agile delivery methods.Responsibilities:

  • Financial Program Oversight:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of financial programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to drive informed decision-making.
    • Utilize financial models and forecasting techniques to assess program viability and potential financial risks.
    • Provide insights into financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Budget Management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage program budgets.
    • Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Identify potential financial risks associated with programs and implement strategies to mitigate them.
    • Develop contingency plans and proactive measures to address unforeseen financial challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial program-related inquiries.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with intra/extra department to ensure seamless integration of financial programs.
    • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve shared financial goals.
    • Identify automation opportunities for financial processes.
    • Support department human resourcing hiring and tracking from a financial perspective.
    • Provide on-demand change management and training services for financial systems, applications, time reporting, and business tools.
    • Time permitting work with the FinOps group to process monthly MS Azure portal costs.
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of financial programs.
    • Regularly report on program performance to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
  • 9+years of equivalent financial work experience in the IT industry.
  • 3+ years of direct hands-on working experience with PowerBI.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis, project cost estimation, and providing financial support to large agile programs of medium to high complexity ($25M+).
  • Extensive experience in validating and analyzing data, making informed decision, and preparing data for business review.
  • Significant experience in presenting financial data to senior leadership and ITamp; business stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management, demonstrating excellent communication skills, strong at building rapport, skilled at liaising between business and technical stakeholders, excellent follow-up, attention to detail, and problem solving.
  • Extensive experience in guiding, coaching and educating stakeholders on financials systems and processes.
  • Extensive understandingamp; execution of agile, hybrid, and waterfall project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with MS Azure Financials is an asset.
  • Holds Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or commitment to take the course and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
