Job Description

This is a full-time position at BlackboxMyCar. BlackboxMyCar is an eCommerce company specializing in dash cams and car camera technologies.Please note: This is an in-office role as the successful candidate will be working with the Marketing team on video shoots in-person.The Social Media Specialist plays an integral role in bringing our brand to life on social media, specifically Instagram and TikTok and other social media channels. We are looking for a fun-loving, car enthusiast, quick-thinking entrepreneurial spirit, a self-motivator with a marketing mindset who knows how to attract and convert people’s attention into actionable results: sales and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of branding and storytelling with an ability to work independently and alongside other marketing team members like writers, designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing strategists to ensure what you create aligns with the marketing objectives of the company.Strong experience in social media, content marketing and branding are all keys to the success of the position.OUR COMPANY PROVIDES:

Overall Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Create content for various social media channels. This includes, but is not limited to: Instagram Stories, Posts, Reels & TikTok
  • Create short-form videos for various social media channels. This includes script writing, filming, post-production, and marketing
  • Maintain brand consistency across all assets
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content, knowing whats currently trending
  • Responsible for Instagram and TikTok account growth
  • Attend events to capture content
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar
What it takes:
  • 2+ years of proven work experience as a social media strategist, content writer, product copywriter, or similar
  • Extremely passionate about marketing and is creative with unique approaches to marketing an eCommerce business
  • Excellent writing skills for social media (short-form copywriting with a purpose); with a thorough understanding of the various social platforms and the content types that work on each
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Previous social media experience managing TikTok and Instagram accounts related to vehicles or technology
  • The confidence and ability to create real-time content at events for various social channels
  • Natural English accent with an excellent pronunciation and intonation to hear on camera
  • Active and creative on camera host (that mean you will appear in the videos recurrently)
  • Strong photography skills with your smartphone or SLR and a great eye for good social media angles
  • Understanding of the role of paid media for social content and how to promote Instagram and TikTok posts
  • Experience with publishing platforms like Later and Buffer
  • Experience with leading a project independently or with a team from concept to final delivery
  • Familiar with video editing software
  • Strong team player, with the ability to work closely with the BlackboxMyCar Marketing team to create content and execute strategies
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver against immediate deadlines
  • A collaborative and positive attitude
  • Experience with dash cams
  • Owns a vehicle
