  • This position will manage key categories as manufactured outsourced parts, raw materials and key components.
  • This position will manage the full cycle of procurement, which requires the candidate to develop procurement strategy based on product and market trend. make sure materials delivery meet with manufacturing required dates by conducting material planning, timely issuing of purchase orders, monitoring open purchase orders and expediting orders. deal with supplier MOC and invoice issue when needed.
  • Have the ability to initiate and develop cost saving projects. Manufactured parts and raw materials spend makes up a large percentage of the company’s overall spend.
  • Develop and manage key supplier relationships, define pricing and contractual Terms and Conditions with supplier and monitor supplier performance.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new supplier by management of RFQs, assessing supplier capabilities, performance and quality using data analysis.
  • Possess the ability to lead cross functional teams in cost savings initiatives and projects globally.
  • Monitor Inventory levels, and plan accordingly to delivery JIT to Production.
Your profile and qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain or procurement.
  • Have deep understanding of steel materials and steel market.
  • Good analytical capabilities, problem solving skills and ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to network with suppliers / internal stakeholders and build good working relationships.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of the work: both successes and learning opportunities
  • Key user experiences/knowledge with ERP systems is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel in particular).
  • Knowledge in metal fabrication processes, ability to read drawing is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related or training in procurement is an asset.
