  • Administer our risk insurance program called Subcontract Default Insurance (SDI)
  • Prepare and maintain the Subcontractor qualification process for SDI
  • Evaluate and approve alternative forms of security from subcontractors
  • Provide all word processing requirements including biweekly/ monthly reports, memos and letters
  • Coordinate SDI insurance claims and compile claim reports as required
  • Provide feedback to the project team when corrections on the subcontracts, major purchase orders or revisions are required
  • Actively revisit and make improvements to procedures to ensure SDI process is up-to-date
  • Meet with subcontractors as needed to review and obtain prequalification information, including financial statements
  • Evaluate subcontractor capacity and assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in credit management is an asset
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office and other PCL software as required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers and subcontractors
  • Self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information
  • Strong customer service skills, comfortable and capable of telephone outreach and communication with subcontractors
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities and professional judgement
  • Experience in the construction industry will be considered an asset
