• Managing Transportation flows including:
  • Carrier Service Performance
    • Tracking of shipments and monitoring service performance
    • daily/weekly reports to Essilor Canada entities and NA transportation
    • Working with the BI Team to provide the relevant sources of Transportation data for weekly KPI reporting
    • Challenging our freight vendors if the OTP is below target
    • Attending weekly operations meeting with each of our freight vendors to review service performance and highlight any areas of concern
    • Ability to identify and implement service performance opportunities
  • Transportation Key Contact for Operations
    • Subject matter expert, able to identify and resolve any issues across all Transportation flows
    • Provides reporting and troubleshooting support to Operations team as required
    • Supervision of Inbound shipments (Parts and consumable, contact lenses, ophthalmic lenses imported from overseas) andoutbound shipments (Ophthalmic lenses and contact lenses distribution to stores and customers)
  • Responsible for month end financial processes
    • Obtaining all the vendor invoice statements
    • Approves transportation invoices
    • Working directly with our finance BA and logistics analyst to validate the Transportation spend
  • Liaise with AP to ensure Transportation vendors are paid on time
  • Coordinate with customer service and sales
• Assists the transportation manager :
  • Identify anomalies and unique trends in complex data to support timely and dynamic approaches to delivering enhanced service levels as well as freight reductions within the Essilor Canada network
  • Tracking savings in transportation projects
  • Support in annual budget process
  • Providing support to Sourcing team for RFPs, new Freight Forwarders implementations, vendor files maintenance and vendor evaluations (QBRs, etc.)
  • Customs compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with customs and government agency requirements
    • H.S Code classification,
    • Audit Shipping documents
• Performs all of the above with a high level of confidentiality, experience, professionalism, detail orientation, thoroughness, and accuracy
