Job Description

About you:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a task-oriented workforce
  • Proven experience leading personnel to meet operational objectives
  • Strong multitasking and task delegation skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Basic understanding of logistics and transportation
  • Ability to understand and follow processes
  • Ability to problem solve issues
What youll be doing:
  • Tracking KPIs and reporting back to the direct report
  • Assisting with morning kick offs (pairing drivers and helpers up and helping with any issues in the morning), and actively participate in loadouts
  • Helping to maintain our fleet (checking reports daily and assist in getting trucks booked in for maintenance )
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Train new employees on company standards and procedures, from how to handle a negative customer experience to how to properly interact with clients
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant professional work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or transportation
  • 1+ year of operations supervision experience managing a workforce of hourly employees
