While understanding business requirements and any technical limitations, you are expected to design the overall functionality of the journey experience, and in order to ensure a great user experience, and iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. The UX/UI designer works closely with the Product Manager, Business analyst, customer account team, product owners and technical leader to create a delightful user experience that will meet customer needs, journey vision and objectives.You will also work in a highly iterative way, with a cross-functional team to allow a high-paced and iterative development and delivery process. As such you need to be comfortable with designing for early stage MVPs with a large amount of ambiguity and subsequently iterating over live designs with input from data and analytics from real life user testing. Are you ready to :- Plan and conduct extensive user research, including interviews, persona development, customer journey mapping, contextual inquiry and task analysis.- Work with a cross-functional team to design and deliver user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces that lead to intuitive user experiences.- Champion a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.- Deliver UI and interaction designs for desktop, tablet and mobile products refining concepts from early wireframes to high definition designs.- Collaborate with other designers within and across teams to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency across journeys.- Stay on top of industry best practices, consumer /market trends and competitor developments.- Contribute to the collaborative and stimulating work environmentOur ideal candidate has:- Five or more years of UX/UI experience designing for mobile and desktop applications. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices and design thinking approach to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.- Advanced proficiency with current design tools such as Sketch, Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, etc. Knowledge of HTML5/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus.- Ability to collaborate and communicate with other teams and project stakeholders to balance the right decisions for the product with the right decisions for the users.- Ability to get draft concepts and mockups as quickly as possible with the desire to continuously refine and improve based-on feedback with the ultimate goal of always producing world-class work.- Working knowledge of user interface design principles and methodology- Strong working knowledge of HTML5/XHTML, CSS3 and JavaScript- Entrepreneurial self-starter who is self-motivated but also a team player with a professional presence.- UI abilities shown in a portfolio of live projectsCAE offers:- an environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valued- the opportunity to travel internationally- the opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary team- the opportunity to represent the organization at external conventions and conferences- the possibility to work from home occasionally- flexible schedules- attractive employee benefits.With over 13,000 employees in more than 40 countries, CAE is a global leader in training for the civil aviation, defence and security, and healthcare markets.
