WAREHOUSE - PREVENTATIVE MAINTANENCE TEAMMATEBento Sushi is looking for Warehouse workers to join our team at our Food Factory in Richmond. (Cambie Rd & Knight St)As a Warehouse Maintenance Teammate, you support the daily warehouse system operations. You are detail oriented and ensure accuracy and completeness of all inventories, receivables, shipment and maintenance.Why you should join our team:We offer group health benefits and retirement plans for eligible teammatesOpportunities for growth and skill building - we look forward to training you and teaching you the Bento secretsFun events with your fellow Bentonians!We are proud of our Bento Sushi Foundation which offers educational grants for our teammates and funding for other rewarding causes such as seafood sustainability and community involvementResponsibilities:Pick/ Prepare orders for internal and external customers according to purchase orders and by routeReceive products from suppliers and assess quality, rotate stock and communicate with production on short orders or poor-quality rejectsEnsure all orders received and shipped are accurate by completing daily shipping and receiving logs, order list, counting and trackingKeeping a neat and organized warehouse floor with good movement space and rotation of all received ingredients/packaging according to the floor planUse Pallet jacks, Scissor Lift, Pump Truck and Fork-Lift to stack, move skids and other items around the warehousePerform light preventive monthly maintenance around the plant – changing tube lights, minor dismantling of some machine parts for sanitation staff, preventing ice buildup /condensation on cooler/freezer ceilings, touching up tables and equipment that develop rust.Working with Plant Manager, Quality Assurance and other Supervisory staff to understand areas in need of repair and evaluate if it can be resolved internally or needs external contractor.Qualifications:Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb)Knowledge of operating a forklift and pallet jackBasic knowledge of mathematics, warehouse FIFO and floor planningAble to build relationships with customers and teammatesGood communication skills.
