They are responsible for changeovers, start ups, shut downs, operation and trouble shooting of all associated equipment. The work location is mainly in our Chester packline facility and occasionally in Kingsway.Performance Expectations:

Job Specifics:•Carries out responsibilities identified in the Purdy’s Quality Management System including but not limited to required documentation, quality checks, and traceability.
  • Complies with all company GMP’s; Comply with SQF policies and procedures
•Complies with all safety policy, accident prevention and compliance programs; reviews work areas for potential issues that could result in losses and reports injuries and hazards.•Produces products according production schedules, quantities and specifications. Is responsible to monitor and maintain run speeds and quality requirements and measure progress against daily targets. Records production made in WMS.•Continually plans ahead for next item by ordering materials, returning unused materials to storage, communicating with other processes that impact the operation of the line, directing helpers to perform tasks required for operation of the line, and performing changeovers with minimal lost production time.
  • Can troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems and production problems.
  • Carries out any required preventative maintenance tasks, and cleaning, and completes required documentation.
•Performs equipment start up, including the requirement to start on time, and shut down procedures and completes appropriate checklist documentation.
  • Organizes and maintains spare parts inventories under the direction of the supervisor.
  • Maintains area to a satisfactory level of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • Ability to lead and influence others and create a teamwork environment
  • Has excellent organizational skills
  • Can create neat accurate and legible reports
  • Ability to enter data into the computer/WMS System
  • Has an excellent mechanical aptitude
