Job Description

QualificationsEducation: Post-Secondary school certificate, diploma or degree in the Principle of Industrial Supervision or equivalent experience.Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environmentWorking in a unionized environmentKnowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety ActSurface Mount Technology experience is an assetInjection Mold Technology experience is an assetSkills: Employee motivation, strong leadership qualitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong troubleshooting and decision-making skillsStrong Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement skillsJob ResponsibilitiesSafety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Sections 27 and 28
  • Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual.
  • Participate as required, during emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team
Quality Responsibilities:
  • Maintain quality standards on all products and processes
  • Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company procedures
Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Integrate environmental practices and commit to the continuous improvement of the EMS
  • Exercise compliance with ISO 14001 standards
General Responsibilities: · Direct supervision of hourly work force to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs· Ensure adherence to the production schedule· Ensure personnel issues are dealt with in timely manner, including disciplinary actions· Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all production reporting requirements· Ensure accuracy of process parameters to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs· Complete workplace inspections and process audits as required and corrective actions are implemented· Meet or exceed all production, safety and quality goals through continuous improvement· Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required· Comply with all company policies and procedures· All other duties as assigned by management.Application deadline: 2021-12-01Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to $60,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
