Job Description

We have an opening for a child/youth worker in our licensed after school program for children ages 5-12. Send us your resume and cover letter if you would like to be a part of this dynamic and fun group!

  • Plan age appropriate childcare/youth activities. Participate in activities where appropriate.
  • Takes initiative to introduce new programming ideas to the staff.
  • Facilitate small group activities
  • Recognizes differing cultures and provide an atmosphere of acceptance.
  • Teach problem solving and conflict resolution in a manner that is age appropriate
  • Intervene in situations of altercations and set limits for appropriate behavior.
  • Uses listening and conflict resolution skills for positive guidance.
  • Organizes mediation or conflict resolution between children/youth when conflict occurs.
  • Understands and follows all policies and procedures set forth by the management of the Boys & Girls Club.
  • Maintains a respectful and cooperative work attitude towards all other staff and the parents as requested by the Directors.
  • ECE diploma or University degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 35 hours per week.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: $14.90-$24.72 per hourBenefits:
