  • Minimum 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience using tax software
  • Preparation of a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the past 3 years
  • Experience with preparing and supporting various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, retirees, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and those with foreign income
  • Experience with filing personal tax returns end-to-end for customers, including employment income, self-employment income, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and all relevant credits and deductions
  • Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications like Google Docs and Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible availability and schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) is an asset
  • Experience with preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1) is an asset
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment is an asset
How You Will Contribute
  • Provide expert tax guidance for personal tax returns as a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing professional
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns and ensure compliance and accuracy through tax guidance and preparation services
  • Research and address customer tax questions by providing specific answers and explanations, both in writing and orally
  • Offer a full-service experience by preparing, reviewing, and filing customers #39; tax returns with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency), or assisting customers as they prepare their own tax returns by providing advice, preparation services, and guidance on required documents for the CRA
  • Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing customer #39;s tax returns
  • Create exceptional interactions and experiences that instill confidence in customers, utilizing deep empathy and your extensive tax knowledge
  • Proactively seek out and provide accurate answers to customer inquiries using government websites, professional resources, and team expertise, while using plain language
  • Apply established practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a focus on performance-based rewards. The expected base pay range for this position is PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50.
