BCC will be a recognized leader for quality homes, meticulously planning, and well-built liveable communities.The Labourer position is a full time regular position on our construction site in Rock Creek, BC. This position reports to the Site Superintendent and works closely alongside other team members in a collaborative manner. All work performed must comply within BlueCity’s high quality standards of quality workmanship. BlueCity employees all work to ensure their work is done in a safe and timely manner.Key AccountabilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:1. Perform daily site maintenance tasks to ensure the site is clean2. Maintain a professional project site by collecting garbage and ensuring garbage collection bins are used efficiently3. Assist project site team members upon request by fulfilling all work requests4. Maintain understanding and ensure compliance with BlueCity’s safety program5. Operate and maintain labourer tools and equipment, ensure all equipment is in operating condition before use6. Ability to work on quality control and prioritize tasks with little or no supervision7. Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to & from work areas8. Perform comprehensive house cleaning duties on the interior and exterior of homes to ensure the home is clean and presentable at all times9. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, training and professional development10. Perform other related duties as requiredEducation & ExperienceMinimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 5 year experience as a labourer in the construction industry with good knowledge and use of hand tools and power tools. Level 2 First Aid an asset. Ability to operate a Telehandler is required. Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude and work in a fast paced environment. Experience in large projects would be an asset. Must have a satisfactory criminal record check.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
