Job Description

at Grain Millers! Our Yorkton Facility is hiring a Shipper/Turret Truck Operator. This is a permanent full-time position. This position requires shift work (12-hr Modified shift schedule), including Nights and weekend shifts.ABOUT US:Grain Millers is an international agri-business with interests in whole grain manufacturing, merchandising, Grain, and oilseed milling and other Value-added Manufacturing. We are one of the North America #39;s premier Oat Milling companies that supplies customers both locally and globally. Our plants are located across North America with our Canadian headquarters in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.POSITION SUMMARY:This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient shipping and receiving of products to/from GMCC warehouse. Responsibility is to ensure all vessels and products are inspected thoroughly in compliance with GMCC, Customer and regulatory standards. Additionally, when you are operating the Turret Truck, you are responsible to pull, pick, move, locate, stage etc. product (s) and material within the warehouse /racking as required. Conduct vessel inspections.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable and capable of operating Forklift equipment with preference for turret truck experience.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift and the ability to pick and put away products in racking heights of up to 30 feet high using a Turret Truck and forklift.
  • Able to work at heights and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to do shift work including Night shifts and weekend shifts.
  • Solid communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with experience in a team-based environment.
  • Strong computer skills including MS word, excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to work in a grain processing environment which exposes staff to allergens such as, but not limited to, grain and grain dust.
