Overview:Pembina is recruiting for an Interprovincial Tradesperson, Electrical or Mechanical to join the team. This position is an Operations position will be supporting the Cochin Canada operational area. The position reports to the Foreman, Operations for the area in the Transmission Pipelines Business Unit (TBU), part of Pembina’s Pipeline Division. Pembina #39;s Transmission Pipeline assets have developed through the strategic acquisition of key natural gas, ethane and condensate transportation infrastructure assets, positioned in some of the most prolific gas producing regions in western Canada and the United States. Pembina #39;s transmission pipelines provide customers with access to premium markets primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-haul pipelines.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Ensure all maintenance and operations duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina’s procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
• Routine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair of pump stations, block valves, electrical, and mechanical equipment;
• Locating and marking Cochin facilities per Pembina’s Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during excavation;
• Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities;
• Provide appropriate training and leadership to develop and mentor staff, and support the succession planning initiatives of the business;
• Participate in a weekly call out rotation responding to after hour call outs due to equipment and/or operational problems;
• Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
• A willingness to work overtime and overnight travel to other Cochin work locations on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years related work experience;
• Interprovincial Journeyman Electrical / Mechanical or certification equivalent preferred, a 3rd or 4th year apprentices in the listed Tradesman fields or equivalent would be considered;
• Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and maintenance experience is an asset;
• PLC programming experience, together with a familiarity of a variety of instrumentation equipment is an asset;
• Hands-on experience with various computer applications;
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work well in a team coupled with a proven track record of success of positively interfacing with Field, Engineering, and Technical Support personnel;
• Ability to perform and direct safe and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment;
• Results oriented with a flexibleamp; adaptable approach to change; and
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drugamp; Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Rosetown SK.Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
