Job Description

It is required for all jobs.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesOur Lakehead facility in Thunder Bay has an opening for Laborer/Worker for immediate hire. This is a physically demanding role that is performed in all weather conditions. Candidates must have their own transportation to get to and from the job site.

  • Keeps work area is clean and ready to go daily
  • Keeps conveyor bearings clean and have grease
  • Picks scrap metal in the yard
  • Reports any issues that arise immediately
  • Assists shredder mechanics during projects
  • Assists in meeting monthly production goals
Requirements
  • Completion of High School and/or equivalent
  • Ability to push, pull and lift materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Standing for up to 8 hours, regular walking, squatting and climbing
  • Ability to learn and follow direction
  • Mechanically inclined is considered an asset
  • Strong command of the English language both written, spoken and customer service skills
