Position Overview:The primary focus of a Camp Counselor in training will be to maintain camp activities. Camp Counselor in training are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom. Programs are conducted for children ages 4-14, although not all assistant instructors are required to work with all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology Instructors & leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism. Role & Responsibilities:Greet parents and children as they enter SnapologySign children in and outMonitor childrenAid in Management of student behavior by enforcing rules and proceduresMaintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of SnapologyOrganize Snapology program materialsComplete special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadershipEncourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programsParticipate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as requiredQualifications:Criminal and vulnerable sector check must be currentDesire to work with childrenAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with othersAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingProven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basisPrograms:Summer campsThis position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Camp Counselor in training typically work between 15-25 hours per week.This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
