A Family Physician Clinic in Rothesay, NB, is hiring a Medical Secretary to join the team! If youre friendly, highly organized, and enjoy working with others, you might be a good fit for this role. The Medical Secretary is crucial for our office as they support the family physician and help maintain efficient and quality patient care. They should be efficient and well-spoken with experience running a clinical practice. We want to meet you if you are patient, computer-savvy, and can multitask.Your goal will be to ensure our medical facilities smooth workflow so that our patients receive the best possible care.The primary role is to provide direct patient care under the direction of the physician and other clinical staff.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PMThese activities include:Performing Medical Administration duties as and when requiredBe effective. Ensure comprehensive patient care plans are developed, updated, and regularly evaluated for effectiveness. Tailor them to each clients short and long-term needs.Be observant. Monitor changing care needs and adjust care and services as needed.Be confident. Participate in decision-making relating to health and safety, patient care, and record management.Be diligent. Ensure that all team members manage clients electronically, physical documents and health records appropriately.Be discreet. Ensure proper procedures and legalities are followed regarding confidential matters and records containing: client or family information, employee or volunteer information, clinic data/emails, and medicare information.Be organized. Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available to fulfill program requirements.Be comprehensive. Interpret, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols;Be prepared. Coordinate meet and greet, transfers, of patients within assigned areas.Be a communication expert. Liaise with health authority representatives, pharmacy, paraprofessionals, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure individual client needs are addressed. Include input from patients and their families. To complete and ensure residents clinical care assessments, care/service plans, and documentation are accurate, up to date and changes communicated as required;Ability to multitaskStrong organizational and communication skillsBe attentive. Perform other duties as assigned. Be punctual.
