Position:Head Facility Operator @ Rouleau School Date Posted: November 6, 2024Closing Date: November 14, 2024Location: Rouleau School CUPE Posting Number: 78-2024-2025 Position Type: PermanentStart Date: December 5, 2024FTE: 1.0 Hours of Work: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Duties: In addition to the duties of a Facility Operator , the Head Facility Operator oversees the day-to-day operation of the facility and works with the Principal and Facilities Supervisor to support the training of new Facility Operator staff.Educationamp; Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)
• A valid Fireman’s certificate if required by legislation
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (W.H.M.I.S.) Certificate
• Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position
• A working knowledge of computers
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to deliver written and oral instructions for safe, competent use of caretaking supplies, operation of cleaning equipment, and the execution of proper school caretaking procedures
• Ability to plan and expedite the cleaning programs as they pertain to the facility

Physical Requirements: Good physical condition with the ability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects). The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders.Wageamp; Benefits:In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
