We are looking for 2 members to join our team.The ideal candidate will be an RECE and have a Montessori teachers diploma for ages 2.5-6 years of age.This is a great opportunity for new graduates, to gain experience while working with skilled staff and to take on leadership roles and tasks. It is important that the candidates work with and support the Montessori pedagogical approach.Candidates enrolled in Early Childhood Education courses or who are continuing their studies will also be considered for the position.We are looking for candidates with character and the right aptitude for teaching, a love of learning, an innate inclination towards working with children, a team player, flexibility, commitment, reliability, willingness to take instruction and constructive criticism, and looking to be part of a vibrant and growing community.They will be responsible for:- Preparing and setting up the classroom- Guiding children during work periods (group and individual lessons)-Supporting the lead instructor or working with and directing the content of the program with other staff- Positive redirection- Preparing reports/communicating student progress with parents- Opening and closing shifts- Support and facilitate washroom routine, lunch hour and sleep room- Maintain documents and follow guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Education- Outdoor & offsite activity supervision- French is an asset but not requiredWe invite candidates to bring their hobbies, skills, and interests into the classroom.
