Job TitleResearch AnalystJob Description SummaryThe Analyst reports to the local Director or Senior Analyst. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of local research output and thought leadership. Specifically, this position provides support for gathering and analyzing local market data and interpreting this information to identify trends in the market. Output of the analysis is used to produce research deliverables to be included in pitch and/or proposal materials and reflects various market dynamics. The Analyst is also accountable for accurate and proactive maintenance of proprietary and third-party databases with local market data, as well as pulling data from said systems to support thought leadership and forecast development. This position is not specific to a service line, but may specialize by property type.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Manages research database(s)Proactively and routinely updates and maintains property databasesCompiles quarterly statistics and run database auditsParticipates in development of local requests for research information including market stats and analysis for prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materialsTrains and orients core business units and administrative assistants on research products, databases and servicesAnalyzes data, compiles and writes (or assists in writing) quarterly reportsAssists in forecasting and economic outlook information for clientsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree required1-3 years’ experience in real estate industry or businessProfessional acumen, demonstrated interest in commercial real estateExperience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecastingCompetencies:Verbal communication/ articulate/ polished: strong oral and written communication skillsConnection/relationship buildingAdaptability/change/fast pace: ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage processes in a fast-changing environmentTeam player/collaborationAccountability/ownershipResourcefulness/initiative: ability to successfully resolve problems with minimal directionWork ethic/grit: proactively gather data and confirm accuracy; tenacity to go above and beyondIntellectual curiosity: desire to invest time and energy in CRE knowledgeDatabase operation: ability to efficiently and accurately update and audit dataAttention to detailAdvanced Excel skillsCushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
