The school is located on an island in the beautiful community of God’s Lake Narrows which has 100 residents and is approximately one and half hours flying time northeast of Winnipeg. This lakeside community offers services such as a northern store, grocery store, federal nursing station, community hall and a fishing lodge. God’s Lake Narrows is on one of Manitoba’s prime fishing lakes and is an outdoorsman’s paradise.The successful candidate will assume Grade 4 to Grade 9 teaching duties and will be responsible for the administrative duties in the school as well.Qualifications:Bachelor of Education DegreeValid Manitoba teaching certificate (or eligibility for)Four to five years of teaching experienceSeveral years of multi-graded classroom teaching experienceExcellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instructionProven classroom management skillsKnowledge of Indigenous Way of LifeExperience with and understanding of school-based technologyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKeen ability to identify and creatively solve problemsAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Area Office staffPrevious administrative experience would be an assetA School Leadership Certificate would be an asset.Applicants are required to submit the following:cover lettercurrent resumelist of three professional references including contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant’s performance in the applicant’s current or recent assignmentThank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
