Job Description

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to pursue a career in project coordination and managementTino Mechanical is looking for someone like YOU to join their rapidly growing team in Victoria, BC! ABOUT THIS ROLE As a Project Coordinator, you’ll harness your organizational and problem-solving skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in driving projects forwards! You will provide essential support and coordination to project managers and teams throughout the project lifecycle. In other words, you’ll be there to ensure smooth project execution! Your role will include:

  1. Reporting to the General Manager and assisting the Project Team in developing construction documents, establishing project protocols, and ensuring proper communication and document control processes.
  2. Acting as a liaison with the Safety Representative to ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper documentation.
  3. Managing and maintaining project records, including RFIs, SIs, Change Orders (COs), and Shop Drawing logs using Procore Software
  4. Supporting project scheduling, risk management, and scope management efforts.
  5. Generating monthly progress billing and assisting with procurement activities, including sourcing materials and subcontractor quotes.
  6. Coordinating with the estimating team to prepare and submit bids and proposals.
  7. Ensuring all project communications and documents are issued per company protocols and providing training to Field Staff as needed.
  8. Preparing BIM layouts for field use and coordinating CAD layouts.
  9. Participating in site visits, capturing meeting minutes, and facilitating effective collaboration among teams.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator position or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technologist Red Seal Certificationor relevant work experience.
  • You have a desire to grow alongside our team, harnessing your skills and unlocking your potential along the way!
  • Ability to interpret Mechanical drawings and navigate relevant software including Procore and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
  • You have a strong commitment to your team; you’re ready to jump in and support wherever possible. You truly excel in a team environment!
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to thrive on dynamic, high-pressure projects.
  • A “humble but hungry” attitude—willing to learn, collaborate, and take initiative.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • BC Class 5 driver’s license.
NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience as a Red Seal Certified Plumber, Gas Fitter, and/or HVAC Technician.
  • Previous mechanical or construction experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of or experience using Procore and AutoCAD Software.
  • Own a vehicle.
