Position descriptionThe Indigenous Studies program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time position in the Spring/Summer 2022 session. This position will be paid by the per-student model.We seek someone to teach ARTS 1991 Discovery and Self and Community. The course will take place between June 1 and August 17. This position is part of an initiative between Mount Allison University and Three Nations Education Group Inc. It involves community-based instruction in the three partner communities of Tobique, Elsipogtog, and Esgenoôpetitj.This course will focus on four main areas: Personal Development, Professional Development, Community Development, and Sustainable Development. Learners will be required to engage deeply in all four areas and actualize their learning in communities.The successful candidate will lead students through a 12 week program partnered with an internship component that enables fulfillment of course requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate or be working toward one, as well as have experience in Community Engaged Learning, Experiential Learning, and Indigenous relations.Mount Allison is committed to diversity and inclusiveness.
