Responsibilities:
  • Entering and monitoring staff schedule for Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Admin, and Dentists
  • Managing staff absences including sick days and vacation as well as finding coverage
  • Assist Practice Manager with day to day running of the practice
  • Back up person for ordering dental supplies
  • Assist with patient complaints and rectifying them in a professional manner
  • Greet and assist patients as they arrive; ensure a lasting positive impression for them
  • Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps
  • Effectively manage recall system and accurately maintain patient database
  • Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts
About You:
  • 5+ years of Dental Administration experience
  • Previous experience with Cleardent is preferred
  • Clinical background is considered an asset
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to build professional relationships with patients and their families, as well as with internal staff
  • Strong communication skills
