Job Description

As part of the Building Operations department, you will work with our Trades and Maintenance teams to ensure the presentation of the building and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Whilst primarily undertaking decoration and painting, and associated repairs and preparation, you will assist our Carpentry Team, so experience, training and knowledge in this area would be a preference.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Basic carpentry responsibilities.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices;
  • All other duties as assigned.

      • Roller painting
      • Basic carpentry skills would be an asset
    • Surface preparation experience
      • Drywall taping/patching
    • Wall covering specialization
      • Fabrics/upholstery
    • Work conditions and physical capabilities
      • Attention to detail
      • Ability to distinguish between colours
      • Bending, crouching, kneeling
      • Physically demanding
    • Weight handling
      • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
