Visit cpkcr.com to learn about the CPKC advantage, our purpose and culture.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Specialist Functional Analyst SAP HCM will gather requirements, analyze, design, estimate, prioritize, build, test, implement and maintain the required functionality within Benefits and ECC in support of business requirements, processes and procedures.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintaining and supporting CPKC #39;s Benefits configuration, changes and related vendor interfaces
  • Logging onto CPKC #39;s issue management system, manage problems and change requests related to SAP Human Capital Management including documenting resolution information
  • Providing system and user problem resolution assistance and support to various departments for SAP footprint
  • Creating and/or updating Human Capital Management (HCM) Benefits configuration and business process procedures documentation
  • Analyzing, developing, testing and implementing new functionalities for enhancement and support pack updates in SAP ECC 6.0 versions
  • Managing SAP Online Support System notes and transports in the area of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Gathering and Documenting requirement and creating Functional Specification Doccumentation.
  • Liaoning with non functional technical teams (Basis, ABAP, PO)
  • Developing detailed test plans and scripts for SAP HCM Benefits, using Jira and Qtest; and working with other functional teams to ensure that continued effective integration of SAP is achieved
  • Working independently on resolving issues in the system and being able to build a solution to prevent issues reoccurrence
  • Following the CPKC procedures on system changes and transports (ITIL)
  • Ability to troubleshoot via system analysis (debugging skills is a plus)
  • Ability to speak to proposed changes
  • Ability toquot;see quot; the big picture and effects of the proposed changes on the whole SAP landscape
  • Assessing business and application requirements
  • Good communication and documentation skills and abitliy to deliver under pressure and time constraints
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • University degree or college diploma in an IT or Engineering related field
  • 5+ years of practical experience with using a wide variety of techniques to elicit requirements (i.e. Research, Verbal protocols, Focus groups, Brainstorming, Interviews, Questionnaires, Prototyping, etc.) and in using a variety of models/diagrams/documents to capture, document and interpret requirements
  • Excellent understanding of SAP HCM submodule(s)
  • Understanding of the IT organization #39;s processes, systems and capabilities
  • Appreciation and understanding of how to deal with different cultural values and sensitivities
  • Team player, skilled in working in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and negotiate win-win solutions
  • Fundamental knowledge of railway operations and processes an asset
