Clinic Support Specialist Ultrasound. Reporting to the Ultrasound Supervisor, the Clinic Support Specialist works closely with Ultrasound, Reception, Nursing, staff and the EFW Physician to ensure that the patient experience is efficient and effective. The Clinic Support Specialist assists technologists and physicians with patient care duties such as chaperoning, biopsy procedures, pre/post procedure patient care. Other duties include clinic ordering, equipment processing and clerical duties required.Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting clerical and clinic operations; working closely with the Ultrasound, Reception, Nursing, and the on-site EFW Physician to ensure that the patient experience is efficient and effective so that exceptional care is provided to all patients;
  • Acknowledges and assists patients, family members and visitor as they arrive
  • Supports receptionists with registration of patients as necessary
  • Performs clerical tasks which include, but is not limited to:
  • Checking clinic templates
  • Verifies patient information, referring physician information and exam on all reports
  • Ensures the delivery of STAT Report according to EFW policy
  • Prints Baby Photos, Burns CDs and USBs
  • Performing routine administrative work such as document processing
  • Performs clinical tasks in support of the Ultrasound modality which may include, but is not limited to:
  • Changing and escorting patients for all modalities
  • Advising and assisting patients in preparing for exams
  • Assisting ultrasound techs with Pediatric scans clinic dependent
  • Autoclave and/or disinfection of medical devices following protocol- clinic dependent
  • Assists EFW Physician with biopsy procedure tasks clinic dependent
  • Assist with the cleaning of procedure rooms
  • Ordering and tracking of clinic supplies
  • Assisting technologist in stocking rooms
  • Acting as a chaperone as needed
  • Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees, ensuring that all personal and health information is collected, used, disclosed and safeguarded;
  • Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace;
  • Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

  • Medical Office Assistant, Medical experience and/or Healthcare Aide preferred;
  • Medical terminology course would be a great asset;
  • Strong computer skills with a demonstrated ability to learn numerous computer programs quickly and efficiently;
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Organized individual with the ability to multi-task and maintain high accuracy to detailed information;
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as a member of our dynamic team;
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hours of WorkEFW is dedicated to providing quality patient care with daytime, evening and weekend clinic hours throughout all of our clinic locations. All EFW Radiology employees working in, or providing shared services to, our community clinics shall participate in being scheduled in the evening or weekend shifts as required. Our employees must also be able to work at any EFW clinic location and provide their own transportation.Working Conditions
  • This position works in a clinical environment where clinic hours are set based on operational needs; including evenings and weekends.
  • Rotation throughout all clinics is required.
  • Able to work at any EFW location and provide own transportation.
