Careers that Change LivesMain Purpose of JobThe Clinical Product Specialist enhances the selling process by serving as the clinical expert on the Respiratory Critical Care portfolio across BC, AB, SK and MB. The Clinical Product Specialist position lends to the selling process by handling product evaluation demands, in-service requirements, clinical education requests, and aids in the development of Key Opinion Leaders. The specialist is actively involved in pre-and post-sale activity to identify and foster elements, processesamp; people that result in successful product adoption. This position is set to be based out of Calgary, Alberta.A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Based out of Calgary, AB
  • Conducts on-site education and / or consulting
  • Lead pre-sale clinical evaluations and training to demonstrate the clinical value of the portfolio to drive sales
  • Lead post-sales activities, including implementation, product education, in-servicing, driving consumable usage and ongoing support
  • Create and implement education and evaluation plans that reflect the needs of the customer
  • Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers
  • Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
  • Assist field and remote sales team in driving successful selling strategies and develop / execute sales plans
  • Apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.
  • Interface with members of the marketing and management teams and communicate clinical needs and trends that impact all Medtronic products
  • Development of long-term relationships with customers (including health-care professionals, purchasing, materials management, hospital administration, select public/private payer Groups, professional and patient associations, etc.)
  • Help organize and facilitate Key Opinion Leader events to develop product champions
  • Provide cross-territory and region clinical support as necessary. Also support OEM clinical partners from time to time, as needed
  • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
Must Have: Minimum RequirementsKNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
  • Anesthesia Assistant, Respiratory Therapy or Perfusion
JOB EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the operating room
  • Working knowledge of the NICU/PICU environment
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Clinical experience gained as an employee of a hospital
  • Experience in clinician and patient education
  • Healthcare education in Anesthesia, Perfusion or Respiratory Therapy
