Homes by Dream is looking for a Construction/Warranty Coordinator - 16 Month ContractWe are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Dream #39;s Housing team is currently looking for a Construction/Warranty Coordinator to provide support coordinating construction and warranty efforts through in-house and contract labor for new home construction. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

  • Assist to identify and resolve all issues in normal operations and manage communication for all schedule disruption, provide reporting and metrics as required.
  • Communicate with Construction Manager and/or Leadership regarding concerns about construction progress, be proactive with finding solutions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for homeowners to connect with regarding warranty assistance and requests by phone, email and in person (occasionally).
  • Act as a liaison between the homeowner, the warranty team and trades to resolve service calls.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs and warranty work, issuing purchase orders for the work when required and as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate construction seasonal items to homeowners.
  • Track budgets, prepare and maintain logs, acquire additional documentation (i.e., engineering reports) and generate written correspondence to the homeowners.
  • Track data and warranty requests in CRM (Hyphen) and JDE Homebuilder.
  • Monitor trends and gaps to address ongoing issues or concerns with the Construction and Warranty teams.
  • Set follow ups with trades and team to ensure work is complete
  • Coordinate meetings with service and construction managers to review and update to-do list.
  • Assist site staff in organizing work related to construction of home.
  • Respond to inquiries from sales staff regarding project status and schedule; Organizeamp; coordinate necessary paperwork for suppliersamp; sub-trades including creating material lists, reviewing orders from suppliers, issuing purchase orders and change orders.
  • Schedule; Organizeamp; coordinate necessary paperwork for new home utility providers during construction.
  • Accurately decipher and apply National Building Code and New Home Warranty Coverage in a variety of situations.
  • You may need to help out with other fun and exciting projects as required.
What type of experience and skills do you haveThese are only some of the things we #39;d like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet.
  • 3+ years of experience in a coordinator or customer service position with a focus on construction. Experience with a residential home building or a post-Secondary education in Construction Management or similar designation from a recognized institute, either would be considered and asset.
  • Strong computer application skills with proven proficiency in MS Office. Experience with JDE Home Builder/Hyphen, Build Pro would be considered an Asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction build process and local building code requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written business communication skills.
