If you #39;re ready to be a part of our team, we encourage you to apply.DESCRIPTION:The Corporate Host position contract for 12 months at Suncor Energy Center acts as an ambassador for Brookfield by providing a professional presence portraying a positive, approachable image to the public and tenants during peak traffic periods. Engage and aid tenants and the general public as needed to ensure a high level of customer service at all times.The Host will be required to present a very friendly and professional image to all our customers ensuring the highest level of customer service.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver superior customer service to internal/external clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a constant presence in the common areas of the property so assistance is readily available when the public or tenants require it
  • Control building access by ensuring couriers, contractors, and other agents are directed accordingly
  • Assists with special events, support at information desks, assists with parking validation, tenant handouts, or other similar tasks where applicable.
  • Respond and provide support in relation to emergency response situations (fire alarms, medical emergencies, bomb threats, etc.).
  • Embody and support Brookfield Properties #39; Safety, Health and Environment Policy.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.
  • Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.
  • Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviors are unsafe.
  • Immediately report SH amp;E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and/or at-risk behaviors to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.
  • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSSERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:The position requires constant contact with staff, tenants, contractors, suppliers, and the general public. This high level of interaction with both internal and external customers requires an individual with a keen service orientation and strong public relations skills. Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, be friendly, courteous, and diplomatic with a positive attitude.EXPERIENCEamp; TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Public relations or hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Outgoing and customer service oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonalamp; English communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in dealing with a diversity of situations and people
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet etc. in a Windows environment.
EDUCATION / DESIGNATIONS / LICENSES:
  • Minimum Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, AED certificate.
