As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Credit Analyst (6-Month Term)Team and Location: Finance, Shared Services - Calgary, ABStarting Minimum Salary from: $ 57,700/yearPosition Summary:Reporting into the Credit Supervisor, the Credit Analyst is responsible for maintaining and effectively managing credit risk and exposure associated with the order release within the Commercial Division Accounts portfolio across Canada. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in educating customers and partners the importance of payments being made in a prompt manner, and in accordance with the terms of sales.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a standardized credit processes and offer possible improvements where necessary.
  • Oversee a portfolio and evaluate account status, monitor terms to ensure that there is ease of use in the credit process. Be able to react with an appropriate level of urgency in the negotiation of payment arrangement within our authority level and make decisions on held orders
  • Recommend process improvements and assess the effect they will have on internal and external customers. Liaise with branches on all credit related questions they may have.
  • Organize daily/weekly/monthly work activities and attend to various tasks based on priority
  • Address all credit related complaints and come up with a solution
  • Liaise with collection agencies regarding proposals, settlements and litigation; follow up to provide additional account details or obtain status updates
  • Manage administrative tasks regarding customer portfolios i.e. reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Operations, Finance, Corporate Adjudication and Sales advising them of customer situations when required.
  • Conflict management with internal and external customers, i.e.: peer to peer relationships
  • Will be required to deal directly with clients internal and external via phone calls and emails on a day to day basis
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5 years previous credit/collections experience within a Commercial and/or Retail environment
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in Microsoft and experience in any collection #39;s software. Excel skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with an approachable manner
  • Preference will be given to those with working knowledge of:
  • Canadian Sarbanes Oxley Regulations (Bill 198)
  • Canada Privacy Act
  • Confident and professional with the ability to adapt to the customers specific situation (both internal and external) and building strong relationships
  • GetPaid and JDE experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to review account transactions and reconcile any outstanding payments or incomplete payments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines and KPI #39;s
  • Able to work well in a team environment but also independently (uses tools to make decisions)
