Job Description

Location: CalgaryDuration: 8 or 12 monthsPositions Available: 2Intake date: Monday, January 8, 2024Application deadline: Monday, November 27, 2023 (we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis)Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based)Desired Background: For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Computer Science or Software Engineering and have coding experience. Don #39;t miss out on this opportunity to learn, get hands-on experience on cloud computing and contribute as a proactive member of our software development team!Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Support Data and App Developers to complete the development work
  • Sustain positive relationships by discussing and communicating with Product Owners and collaborators to understand the business requirements
  • Support teams to coordinate work regarding Azure migration, demonstrating efficient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work on both frontend and backend development with JavaScript or C#, .NET
  • Conduct data analysis using query language such as SQL
Qualifications
  • Background in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred
  • Preference will be given to students who have previous related coding and data engineering experience
  • Previous experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms (Azure) is an asset
  • Able to work efficiently independently as well as part of the team
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
  • Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
  • Motivated and driven to learn
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills
