Job Description

S amp;P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) program within our Upstream Solutions business line. Our 18-month rotational program will commence in June 2024, and Associates will rotate through three 6-month rotations in different commodity research sectors. Final placements on a team are made following successful completion of the training and rotations.   • Product Management: Join a team of dedicated product managers working with sales and marketing to capture the voice of customers to deliver next generations products across well, production, land, emissions, carbon capture, and other critical data elements of the Upstream business and energy transition.
  • Software Solutions: Join a multi-disciplinary team that builds software that enables critical investment decisions across Energy sectors. Our software leverages S amp;P proprietary data and the latest geoscience, engineering, visualization, and AI/ML capabilities to deliver user friendly tools that empower oilamp; gas and emerging low-carbon markets.
  • Insights/Thought Leadership: We bring our clients - oilamp; gas companies, regulators, capital providers, and relevant stakeholders worldwide - the most trusted strategic and commercial insights drawn from our unique research and datasets, analytical frameworks and deep industrial expertise to help them plan their future in a changing upstream landscape.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science is preferred
  • (Petroleum engineers, geoscience, economics, finance, business management, data science, data analytics)
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Curiosity of global markets and overall interconnected energy business ecosystem.
  • Strong Office 365 application skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to research complex issues and write coherent analyses.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in international business English, effective communication skills, and a natural bent for multi-tasking.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills - should be able to independently troubleshoot and question data that does not follow logic.
  • Modeling and data science experience is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented and aptitude for self-learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and hold a high regard for stakeholder relationships.
