As a Field Equipment Technician, you will support our various field programs by performing a variety of tasks including resolving issues/problems and communicate with internal customers. Working out of Calgary Distribution Center you will primarily be working on providing and maintaining equipment for Jacobs employees and subcontractors. Additionally, you will help with administrative tasks including processing internal billing which ties into data entry, filing and clerical tasks related to inventory control, tracking and follow-up with staff regarding equipment and vehicles requested from across Canada. You will help procure, inventory, and maintain equipment including various electronics, water quality equipment, remediation tools, safety devices, fleet vehicles, ship and receive equipment, and handle dangerous goods. This role will be require working independently with the support of a team based out of our Calgary Office and other locations across Canada to deliver small equipment requests and vehicles to and from various locations and offices, including picking up items from various vendors and suppliers. This position will be a 6-month contract with potential for extension and/or conversion to Full-time employment. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, handling requests by phone and email that often require quick turnarounds. Working with other members of our team, you will quickly learn the shipping and receiving processes of different delivery/shipping companies. Here #39;s what you #39;ll need: • High School Diploma. • Work experience, certification or degree related to inventory management. • Experience with digital technology including IOS and Android devices, GNSS receivers. • Experience with water quality equipment including Turbidity Meters, Sondes, Swoffer Meter, Electrofishers. • Experience with remediation equipment including PID Monitors, Peristaltic Pumps, Water Level Meters. • Highly organized and detail orientated. • Experience with MS Office Suite with expert excel skills. • Ability to lift 75 pounds. • Valid driver #39;s license. • English - Fluent written and verbal (Required). Ideally, You #39;ll Also Have: • 2 years or more inventory experience. • Demonstrated customer service and communication skills. • Investigation and troubleshooting techniques. • Basic understanding of field-testing equipment. • Basic understanding of accounting processes.
