Under the direction of the Director, HSSE Services, the HSSE Manager will support the organization in day-to-day operations by working collaboratively with business unit and world-wide regional teams to manage and improve existing digital tools, to explore new and emerging digital tools and to manage the HSSE data and data trends we provide to the business through reports and presentations. This role will be based from one of our North America locations.Your Key ResponsibilitiesThe HSSE Manager (Dataamp; Digital Tools) will provide a full range of HSSE services which may include the following:

  • Lead and supervise the HSSE Dataamp; Digital Tools team. Responsibilities within the group include: data analysis and trend development, development and revision of digital tools, exploration of new and emerging digital tools, relevant communications and training related to Stantec #39;s HSSE dataamp; digital tools.
  • Build trust and relationships with operational leadership, functional service team partners, and HSSE practitioners throughout the organization.
  • Keep up to date on emerging trends, regulations, and HSSE best practices within the business.
  • Deliver data trends and analysis of HSSE data to various stakeholders.
  • Work in cooperation with HSSE Operations directors, regional HSSE managers and advisors, and HSSE team members worldwide
  • Lead or contribute to HSSE Dataamp; Digital Tools initiatives as determined by yourself and the Director, HSSE Services.
  • Work with the HSSE team to communicate and implement tools and data presentations in line with the HSSE business and communications plan.
  • Where required, assist in planning and supporting ISO audit activities. Coordinate and connect with Quality team as an audit partner for internal and external services.
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials
  • Strong preference for formal education in healthamp; safety, a professional HSSE designation (CIH, CSP), or in process of acquiring
  • Experience in HSSE data including but not limited to: TRIR, injury trends, leading and lagging indicators.
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems or other HSSE reporting tools and applications.
  • Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, the capability to assess and organize priorities, and to manage a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities; and the ability to build and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • Ability to understand and adjust communication style to suit the audience
  • Computer proficiency with the Office 365 suite of services
  • Preference for experience with the following:
  • Large, multi-disciplinary organization
  • HSSE digital tools and data analysis
  • EHS management systems
  • Advanced excel knowledge
  • PowerBI knowledge
Education and Experience
  • A degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • A Bachelors degree and 10 years of experience in an HSSE role, preferably management level or a Masters degree and 5 years of experience in an HSSE role.

  • Lower Mainland $123,800/ BC Other Areas $116,800 - Lower Mainland $185,700 / BC Other Areas $175,200 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouveramp; Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
