Our culture is defined by our people and how we work together, and we are excited that you want to be a part of it.Our energy is also represented by our people, what we bring to the communities we operate in and what we bring to each of our relationships.Purpose:The Drilling Engineer will deliver detailed drilling programs and guidance for the engineering and design, optimization, and execution of drilling operations on exploration and development wells within Crescent Point Energy #39;s assets.Main Responsibilitiesamp; Activities:

  • Prepare drilling programs from AFE initiation to the execution of drilling operations
  • Research offset wells for learnings and to ensure continuous improvement from competitors and past drills
  • Interact extensively with internal and external stakeholders to generate the drilling programs that deliver wells safely, protect the environment, and come in on budget
  • Manage all personnel and services working on drilling projects and ensure the operations are conducted in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure complete adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Provide drilling engineering support to the Asset teams for evaluations
  • Take calls and provide ongoing technical support for drilling supervisors
  • Implement new technologies to ensure continuous performance improvement
  • Review and approve drilling invoices and ensure tight cost control from field to actuals
  • Assist with the development of best drilling practices
  • Support the team and management in any other related activities as required
Knowledge, Skillsamp; Abilities:
  • Minimum of 4 years of petroleum engineering experience would be an asset
  • A team player who is results oriented and enjoys contributing to the team goals
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Proactive management of planning and execution to ensure safety, quality, schedules, and cost goals are achieved
  • Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills are required
  • Knowledge of AERamp; MER regulations and industry practices pertaining to drilling operations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both field and office staff, as well as service partners to implement optimization strategies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
