Job Type:RegularPlains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We want consistent and predictable operations done the right way, every time.Plains currently has an immediate opening for an Asset Integrity Engineer to join the Canadian Crude Oil Division Asset Integrity Support Team. The mission of this team is to help Operations execute on integrity management program activities to achieve incident-free operations, extend asset life, and maximize reliability. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident in his/her ability to manage multiple responsibilities.The successful candidate will be eligible for company benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision, vacation time off, and flex days. Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Calgary office with working remotely.Responsibilities:

  • Analyze in-line inspection (ILI) data (crack, corrosion, and deformation) and develop annual integrity dig program.
  • Perform or review internal / third-party engineering assessments and analyses.
  • Analyze class location assessment results and recommend preventive and mitigative (P amp;M) activities.
  • Advise and support pipeline assessment (non-destructive examination) and repairs.
  • Define inspection scope and assess subsequent results for aboveground storage tanks and associated piping.
  • Advise on appropriate repair for facility piping and possibly for above ground tanks in the future
  • Provide expertise to internal stakeholders as required (e.g., Engineering, Technical Services, Regulatory).
  • Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of program activities (e.g., internal corrosion monitoring and mitigation).
  • Support Commercial opportunities (e.g., acquisition and reactivation activities).
  • Support annual budget development and long-term planning.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed, documented, and enhanced, as required, to achieve desired objectives.
Qualifications:
  • A registered professional engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience in pipeline and facility integrity management
  • Working knowledge of Canadian pipeline regulations and relevant industry standards including CSA Z662
  • Working knowledge of ILI technology, non-destructive testing techniques, and predominant damage mechanisms
  • Ability to learn and process new information quickly
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to continue to develop professionally
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
