We take pride in what we do and are excited to find our next team member to join our winning team.We are currently seeking a Production Engineering Co-op student in their third or fourth year for an approximate 8-12-month term to work with our Production Engineering team. This position reports to a Senior Production Engineer and requires an organized and motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. This position will be based in Calgary with travel to field location(s) on occasion.This dynamic position will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to learn about the Oilamp; Gas industry in Western Canada as well as develop their petroleum engineering skills.RESPONSIBILIITES:This will be a project-based work term where the successful candidate will collaborate with multiple Senior Production Engineers as well as various Operations staff, including field personnel, to complete engineering studies related to the development and optimization of oil and gas wells.Previous co-op student responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:

  • Collaborate in well file reviews to identify production optimization opportunities and assist in the planning, designing and execution of these opportunities
  • Work on operating cost saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency of processing equipment and wells
  • Calculating facility capacities to understand where potential bottlenecks are when planning future drilling
QUALIFICATIONS:The position is ideally suited for a third- or fourth-year student currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (all disciplines considered). Petroleum industry related experience, a desire to learn operations, along with strong computer skills are preferred but not required. The necessary software training will be provided.
