Our culture is defined by our people and how we work together, and we are excited that you want to be a part of it.Our energy is also represented by our people, what we bring to the communities we operate in and what we bring to each of our relationships.Purpose:The Reserves Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the Reserves Group in the preparation and analyses of reserves information for use by Management, Executive, Board of Directors and the Public through required and ad-hoc reporting processes.Main Responsibilitiesamp; Activities:

  • Collect, track, analyze and coordinate reserves data
  • Responsible for reserve and economic evaluations
  • Work with Financial Reporting and Investor Relations to prepare external reserves reporting information including press releases and AIF reports
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of reserve updates to senior leadership and Board of Directors
  • Support and implement continuous process improvement across all facets of the reserves process
  • Assist in managing process controls for quality control and audit purposes
  • Develop business intelligence tools to ensure quality control and provide insights
  • Support development teams on reserve related inquiries
  • Assist with maintaining, updating and running sensitivities in the internal reserves database
  • Coordinate annual reserves evaluation with external independent evaluators, including information flow, draft reviews, queries and final sign-off
  • Prepare and analyze mid-year reserve updates
  • Internally evaluate corporate reserve performance, model related cash-flows, conduct sensitivity analyses, forecast reserve metrics
  • Assist asset teams in acquisition and disposition evaluations
  • Analyze resource play performance and develop type curve models
Knowledge, Skillsamp; Abilities:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum 1-5 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience is required
  • Strong analytical skill and high attention to detail is required
  • Experience with reserve and economic evaluations using Value Navigator
  • Experience with data visualization using Power BI would be an asset
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel is required
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines with a focus on quality of work
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
