We take pride in what we do and are excited to find our next team member to join our winning team.We are currently seeking a Reservoir Engineering Co-op Student in their 3rd or 4th year to work within our Engineering team. This position reports to a Senior Reservoir Engineer and requires an organized and motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. The work term will commence in January 2024 and last for a 12-month period. This position will be based in Calgary with the potential to travel to field locations on occasion.This dynamic position will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to continue to learn about the Oilamp; Gas industry in Western Canada as well as develop their petroleum engineering skills.RESPONSIBILIITES:This will be a project-based work term where the successful candidate will collaborate with multiple Senior Development and Reservoir Engineers as well as various Engineering staff to complete engineering studies related to the optimization of our field development plans.Previous co-op student responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:

  • Assist in an internal review of current field development plans through the application of reservoir engineering principles, data analytics, and economic evaluations
  • Completion of offset competitor analysis, including the review of well spacing/stacking designs, completion techniques, and production forecasting/decline analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field. This position is well-suited for students in their third or fourth year of studies. The preferred candidate should possess prior experience in the petroleum industry, excellent communication skills, and a strong inclination for learning. Solid computer skills are required; however, the necessary software training will be provided.
