The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and demonstrated experience managing a diverse range of municipal projects of varying scope and size for municipalities, developers, and First Nations clients.The ideal candidate is passionate and enjoys working on a wide variety of municipal projects, such as urban roads, water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater management, flood protection, utility upgrades, and site grading and servicing.Some of the Responsibilities you may have:

• Leading a team of Engineers and Designers on municipal projects, from inception through to construction
• Managing Municipal Engineering projects including Financial Controls, Project Management, and Client Relationships, in accordance with our Quality Management System
• Preparation of proposals, reports, preliminary and detailed designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering, and contract administration
• Collaborating on projects with other professionals, including Geotechnical Engineers, Environmental Scientists, Planners, and Landscape Architects
• Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules
• Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors
• Providing technical mentorship to staff

Qualifications that would make you a great candidate:

• A minimum of a bachelor #39;s degree in civil engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Municipal Engineering and Project Management, preferably in the consulting industry
• Experience or aptitude for proposal writing, client development, working in a team setting to meet timelines, and other skills appropriate to consulting
• Registered (or eligible to register) as a Civil Engineer with APEGA
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
