• Assist in preparing and reviewing Canadian tax returns for compliance with regulations.
• Analyze financial data for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and aiding in reconciliations.
• Prepare and file various tax documents, including GST/HST returns, and assist with income tax installments.
• Support responses to tax authorities #39; inquiries, compile documentation and assist during audits.

Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
• Available to begin work in May 2024
• Basic understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations is preferred.
• Prior coursework or proven experience in taxation is a plus.
• Highly diligent with a focus on accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Education

• Must be enrolled in a business degree focused on Accounting, Commerce or Finance major at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
• Candidates currently enrolled in either a master #39;s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
