Bird is a place where you will unlock your potential and achieve your goals.Reporting to the National SCM (Supply Chain Management) Lead, the SCM Administrator works directly with the SCM, Accounts Payable and Operations teams and is responsible for compiling, recording, and inputting information as required for the setup of vendors in the company #39;s ERP. This position ensures timely receiving, investigating, filing and documentation accuracy in accordance with company guidelines.This position is flexible for remote work, but will report into the Calgary, AB office and support the stakeholders across Canada.This position will start on a contract basis for 12 months. Possibility for extension will be discussed and based on business needs.What You Will Be Working OnAdministration

  • Ensure proper signatures and authorizations are obtained in accordance with the Bird Construction Delegation of Authority.
  • Responsible for reviewing and set up of vendor master records.
  • Research and resolve invoice issues with vendors on a timely basis.
  • Enter information into our ERP in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain files in a current and accessible manner.
  • Other duties as needed to meet operational requirements.
Data Management
  • Responsible for the execution of business data and data management processes.
  • Process all New Vendor and Change requests within Semarchy xDM.
  • Resolve Vendor Data Quality issues.
  • Communicate with Business stakeholders on data management and data quality processes to enable understanding and compliance.
Strategyamp; Planning
  • Support the defined domain data management strategy, including user policies and training materials, set refresh cycles, and statistical reporting for achieving and maintaining high data quality.
  • Work alongside IT staff as well as senior management in defining strategies and actions.
  • Coordinate the placing of data On-Premises, or in Clouds within business strategies.
  • Support, advise, and maintain a data integration strategy.
  • Ensure that project management and software development methodologies include the steps, activities, and deliverables required to achieve high quality data.
Acquisitionamp; Deployment
  • Ensure that new systems, applications, and data integration measures adhere to existing data management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of new products in the data management market, conducting research on emerging trends and developments that could support the business.
What We Are Looking For
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management is an asset
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, and the use of advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLookup, Index/Match, and Concatenate
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable and supply chain management processes including purchasing processes, vendor onboarding requirements, vendor management, and the overall impact of data management
  • Experience in SAP, Viewpoint, and/or OnBase is an asset
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work to achieve deadlines
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and customer service mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
