  • The successful candidate will be dedicated to a top-tier client #39;s oil sands operation and work on a field rotation schedule of 15 days on site (including mobilization and demobilization) followed by 15 days off. Accommodation while on rotation is at a camp near the client #39;s site
  • Travel to and from Fort McMurray, Calgary, or Edmonton is via the client #39;s charter flights and bus service.
  • A commitment to a minimum period of 24 months on the rotation schedule is required.
  • Perform tasks as requested efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques;
  • Aquatic, groundwater, and/or surface water monitoring;
  • Safely conducting field work, field data collection, and documentation;
  • Tracking and reporting on field activity; and
  • Preparing supporting documentation for reports, data checkingamp; assessments.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in environmental studies;
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in environmental monitoring;
  • Class 5 driver #39;s licence.
  • Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset; and
  • Familiarity with Argo operation would be beneficial.
