Job Description

Company:Finning CanadaNumber of Openings:1Worker Type:PermanentPosition Overview:This position provides technical training delivery and design for systems operation, testing, adjusting, diagnostics and trouble shooting of Caterpillar product for both internal and external customers.:Major Job Functions:

  • Locate, assemble and providequot;hands on quot; training material, training aids and technical documents for in-class. Develop agendas, objectives, exams, course manuals and presentation material and deliver effective training using a variety of methods
  • Locate, assemble and provide engines, hand tools, diagnostic tooling and shop space for requiredquot;hands on quot; application of in-class theory. Coordinate movement of engines and training aids, confirm classroom space at other branches, and provide cost quotes for training to be delivered to customers
  • Complete the necessary paperwork for data entry in the training database
  • Assist the service department with diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment malfunction, failure or incorrect operation

Knowledge:
  • In depth knowledge of systems and operation of Caterpillar engines and equipment
  • Knowledge of products, attachments, accessories and modifications for various equipment
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and internal systems
  • Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety
Experience:
  • 5 to 10 years work experience in the area of training delivery
Accountability:
  • Schedule and deliver quality training as required and/or assured to customers
  • Maintain strong relationships with Customer Service Managers, Service Technicians, Technical Communicators, branch Service Operations Managers and Caterpillar training personnel
  • Ensure all training has met expectations and needs of participants, Finning and Caterpillar
  • Maintain relevant and current knowledge of all new products
  • Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and maintain confidentiality
