About our company: Pathogenia Inc is a fast-growing full-service food, cannabis, pharma, consumer goods and environmental testing and research lab offering food safety compliance testing services to every stages of any food supply chain to ensure safety and accurate labeling of products.About the opportunity: Pathogenia Inc is looking for an Analytical Chemist for the afternoon shift (2-10pm) in their Saint Laurent laboratory. This role requires strong analytical chemistry and chromatography (HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS) knowledge in Food, NHP, Cannabis and Pharmaceutical industries.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the analyses of various chromatographic tests as per established methods in place on HPLC, LCMS and GCMS
  • Run standards and controls, verifying equipment accuracy and function
  • Process and record results, review of test data and results, including sample preparation records, logbooks, calculations, and data sheets.
  • Optimize or develop new analytical methods for the testing
  • Ensures that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained
  • Maintain the records of equipment, standards preparation, inventory of consumables
  • Monitor Critical Control Parameters through daily equipment verification checks and alert the lab manager of any out of trend events
  • Verification/calibration of laboratory instruments as per the schedule
  • Identify outliers or issues & escalate to management
  • Adhere to all safety policies and work in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) environment.
  • Keeps work area clean, neat and organized during and after processing time.
Skills required for this position:
  • Minimum 2 Years of experience operating chromatography analytical instruments HPLC, LCMS and GCMS is a must
  • Knowledge of Pharmacopoeias (USP, Ph. Eur. and BP) and their applications within a laboratory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quick learner.
  • Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
  • Able to deal with priorities modifications and time pressures.
  • Effective time management, multi-task handling and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Order of Chemist
Preferred QualificationsAppropriate undergraduate degree (e.g. Bachelor of Science), Master of Science degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry (preferred) or a discipline related experience of at least 2 year with the following techniques: HLPC, GC, UPLC.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
