Job Description

Location: St. LambertProvince: Quebec (CA-QC)Assignment : Permanent# of openings : 1Posting End Date :This position may be based at any of our offices; (St-Catharines, Cornwall, Brossard and St -Lambert). Also, Goverment and Community team members serve an English-speaking and French-speaking clientele so the person chosen must be preferably bilingual.The Government and Community Relations team is looking for a social media specialist to join our team and collaborate on our many projects!RoleThe Communications and social media Specialist develops, implements, coordinate and participate in a wide variety of website, social media and marketing projects and activities pursued by the Corporation, contributing to the overall effective achievement of corporate communications objectives.Responsibilities

  • Work on the external and internal web site (intranet) and ensure alignment between external and internal key messaging.
  • Assist and execute social media outreach strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance on a monthly basis
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external corporate communications, tools, activities and events such as newsletters, briefings, meetings, departmental communications requests, etc.

Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Promotion or Business Administration or Public relations, communications or journalism
Experience and knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years related practical experience in social media, corporate communications, marketing in a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Extensive experience in writing communications materials.
  • Working knowledge in social media and corporate communications
  • knowledge of various social media analytics and presentation software
